Jason Fried: Why Work Doesn’t Happen at Work

Software entrepreneur Jason Fried is the co-founder of 37signals and co-author of “Rework.” His passions include collaboration, productivity and the nature of work, all of which become intriguingly apparent in this thought-provoking TED-Talk. In his presentation, Fried proposes a somewhat unnerving suggestion: that perhaps the office isn’t the best place to be productive. Fried goes on to discuss what he believes are the two biggest reasons for this (call them the M&Ms) , and further highlights three possible solutions that may help shape the workplace into a space in which one can be impressively productive.
