Steel Trap

The want for more money is our human nature. The constant need for more driving us and pushing us. But how much is enough, and how far would you go to accrue more revenue, is question we all ask ourselves. Four Rio Tinto employees in China took matters into their own hands when their took bribes from smaller Chinese steel firms in exchange for direct access to iron ore. However, these actions allegedly damaged China by forcing it to accept higher prices for imported iron ore. The verdict also affect foreign businesses operating in China as they become increasingly pessimistic about the local business climate. Google’s decision to exit the Chinese internet-search business is just one example.
