Reuters reports on new investment related developments between Cuba and Europe, with a focus on possible obstacles in the form of human rights. The good news is, the European Union decided to seek negotiations with Havana on increasing trade, investment and dialogue. This will mark their closest connection after years of tension about Cuba’s human rights record, over which the EU imposed its own sanctions until 2008.
