Davos Man and his defects
The Economist looks at the significance of two of the most popular words in the business lexicon: Global and leadership. When you put these two words together, it has great potential to draw multitudes of people together. One such conflagration happened recently at Davos, a Swiss ski resort, where some 50 heads of state and 300 cabinet ministers came together to discuss the term “global leadership”. According to the Economist, the global leadership industry needs re-engineering, right on par with the cult of the global leader – undoubtedly spreading.
