Pollution in China: Clearing the Air

Few will be surprised to hear that China pollution is escalating and that this is predicted to have a number of negative effects. However, new research is highlighting these concerns in an urgent manner. “PM2.5” refers to the smallest solid particles in the atmosphere; particles that are able to find their way into the depths of people’s lungs. World Health Organisation guidelines have recently indicated that PM2.5 levels above ten micro-grams per cubic meter are unsafe.
