A Cambrian moment
The Economist takes us back in history to a defining moment in time known as the “Cambrian explosion” – something amazing that happened 540M years ago. At that moment, life forms began to multiply, leading to everything we now know constitutes the universe we live in. A striking analogy is made here by the Economist – which insinuates a similar occurrence/Cambrian moment in the world of tech start ups. This is to say that cheap and ubiquitous building blocks for digital products and services have caused a Cambrian-like explosion in startups, of which the significance is weighed by Ludwig Siegele.
