S&P 500 Sustains Biggest Profit Gain

The biggest increase in company profit in the past decade is proving reason enough for investors to hold on tightly to their stocks. This, despite the fact that the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index has rallied 97 percent. Experts have indicated that consumer spending will sustain this financial recovery (post the 2008 financial crisis). This recovery in demand is further prompting executives to spend the money they have squirrel away post the financial crisis. This, in turn, has impacted positively on the confidence among mutual fund investors. Paul Zemsky, the New York-based head of asset allocation for ING Investment Management, believes that currently “The market is nowhere even close to being priced to perfection.”
