Can anything perk up Europe?

Will Europe rediscover it’s strength and offer a chance at revival in the same way they did 20 years ago? You know things are bad in the European Union when it’s facing not only a economic crisis but also a political crisis. With banks failing and currency trembles it makes us wonder why the 18 month wait to address the issue? Europe’s leaders were mostly taking refuge in denial and putting blame on financial markets. But despite the a recent 11th-hour launch of a vast bail-out fund for its most fragile economies, Europe seems a diminished force in the world. However, even now the European Union is the world’s biggest economy. Were it healthy, the worst of the global economic crisis would be over.
