Those who have any type of person account on the internet best accept that, much like death and taxes, apparently, spam is unavoidable too. In recent years, online security has become so effective that today it stops an estimated 98% of spam from reaching its targets. Spammers also need lots of addresses to evade security filters. They may buy as many as 10,000 domain names for a single scam – and this is becoming more of a challenge. The result? Spammers are migrating to social media platforms – where trust is more readily granted, and strategically selected profile pictures of attractive women speed up results.
