U.S. Auto Market now Industry Bedrock

It appears the global auto market has a new reason to be optimistic: Detroit. The Detroit auto show has put the city in the spotlight and demonstrated that the U.S. car market has grown from what could be described as rather depressing only there years ago, to somewhat of a safe haven. This is good news for the U.S. as concerns rise with regard to other large economies such as Europe and China. Experts predict that U.S. auto sales to grow from 4 percent to 9 percent in 2012 – translating into the third consecutive annual gain.
