The Tussle for Talent

Today, the world’s best companies dedicate large amounts of time and resources to finding and keeping “the vital few”, that is, those who do currently / are predicted to account for much of the progress made by a company or organisation. Deloitte and other consultancies have noticed that companies are now trying harder than ever to either foster or poach raw talent. However, elitism has its drawbacks. In their rush to classify people, companies can overlook potential stars. Not only this, but those who are singled out for special treatment can become arrogant. Luckily, these are solvable problems. As such, it seems that these companies lend themselves to being stellar examples to those watching and willing to learn.
