Natural Gas: Shale of the Century
America’s natural gas industry is still on the up-and-up. Over the past few years, the country’s shale-gas industry has grown by a whopping 45% per year. At this point, the country produces significantly more gas than it requires. Problems the USA are experiencing, such as insufficient storage space and declining gas prices, are problems that countries such as those in Europe and Asia may only ever dream of experiencing. Along with all this comes an obvious economic advantage. However, despite this massive benefit, a number of greens have voiced their firm objections to the fracking industry. While their concerns are warranted, they are also preventable, for the most part.
