U.S. transport companies cash in on Mexico trade boom

Reuters reports that U.S. rail and trucking companies are making big investments on both sides of the border. This, in accordance with Mexico trade boom – to and fro the U.S. And as the U.S. economy creaks along, the growing business with Mexico is a cause for cheer: Both Kansas City Southern and Union Pacific are reporting much bigger increases in cross-border shipments. The two main areas currently exploding and under discussion here are transporting automobiles into the United States and inter-modal shipping. What’s more is, all companies with operations in Mexico inevitably need to deal with the ongoing drug war. And this is truer than ever now that the number of projects set to increase the scope of U.S transport in Mexico is on the rise.
