North Korea: Not Waving – Perhaps Drowning
North Korea, one of the most controversially operated countries in the world, is not only moving in an increasingly unstable direction but is also in possession of nuclear arms. Arguably, this is cause for concern. Perhaps those most concerned should be those who neighbor the volatile country; specifically, China. China continues to invest in North Korea, and the two countries remain on friendly terms. However, if things do eventually turn sour between the two countries, China stands to lose in an enormous way, particularly in the areas of finance and, obviously, physical security. For this reason, other parties invested in both countries are starting to suggest talk be had with regard to possible future events and respective responses to these events. Lest any possible future misunderstanding lend themselves to potentially catastrophic consequences…
