Ex-U.S. General Urges Frank Talk on Cyber Weapons

Former No. 2 uniformed officer in the U.S. military, James Cartwright, has voiced concerns regarding an increase in cyber attacks by foreign hackers. Cartwright insists the United States should be more transparent with regard to its development of offensive cyber weapons. While current and former U.S. officials tend to keep information regarding specific cyber weapons very hush-hush, it is widely acknowledged the United States has both offensive and defensive ways to respond to destructive attacks from overseas.
